Sera Emiroglu

Sera Emiroglu is from Fort Collins, Colorado and is a Junior majoring in Finance and Marketing with a minor in Economics. Sera is a Marketing Assistant at SUU and works primarily in data analytics as well as managing the social media platforms for the online and graduate admissions department. Sera hopes to find work as a financial analyst upon graduation. In her free time, Sera enjoys hiking, spending time outdoors, and playing the guitar.









Kylee Wharton

Kylee is a Senior at SUU studying Marketing and Finance. She currently works as a marketing and communications manager for two Cedar City based tech companies, TouchMD and NoviHome.

2020

Daniel Hedgecock

Daniel Hedgecock is a Cedar City, Utah native, and a Senior Finance Major at Southern Utah University.  While attending school, he works full-time as the General Manager for the Best Western Plus Cedar City where he works daily to maximize revenue, train employees, and increase customer satisfaction.  His current position at the hotel has taught him a great deal about effective management and business operations.  After graduating in December 2020, Daniel plans on taking the series 7 examination, and hopes to work in financial planning, in order to one day become a Certified Financial Planner.  When Daniel isn't at work or school, he loves spending time with his wife, playing guitar, and reading various books about business and self improvement.

Daniel accepted a position as a Customer Relationship Advocate at Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City.


Briley Roundy

Briley Roundy is from Aurora, Utah and will graduate December of 2020 with her Finance Degree. While at Southern Utah University she has had many great opportunities come her way. Last spring she was named SUU's Outstanding Junior in Finance. And this year she is serving on the leadership board of the Finance Club. She also recently just started an internship at State Bank of Southern Utah. Within this position she helps each of the loan officers at State Bank to ensure that all lending requirements are met for both consumer and commercial loans. She additionally reviews the SBA loan documentation for all 18 branches of the bank. She has enjoyed applying what she has learned in the classroom in the workplace. Upon graduation she plans to pursue an MBA with an emphasis in Data Analytics. Outside of work and school you can find her attending CrossFit at 5:00 am every morning, snowboarding during the winter, and hiking during the summer.

Briley accepted a position as a Credit Analyst with State Bank of Southern Utah. 



Natalie Smith


Natalie Smith is from Mission Viejo, California and is a Senior at Southern Utah University. She will graduate December 2019 with a degree in Finance. Natalie works on campus at the Financial Aid Office where she helps students complete the necessary steps to receive financial aid and scholarships. After graduation, Natalie looks forward to working in the financial sector and pursing a life long goal of obtaining a Masters Degree. Outside of school and work, Natalie enjoys hiking and spending time with friends and family.

Natalie accepted a position as a Customer Relationship Advocate at Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City.




Quentin Vavasseur

Quentin is a senior student at SUU who is majoring in Finance by the end of Spring 2020. He is from Paris, France. Currently he works as a host for events such as the summer fashion week. He plans on passing the first exam for the CFA right after graduation in order to be investment banker. Outside of school, he likes hiking, visiting museum, traveling and spending time with his friends.



Marin Ward

Marin Ward is an Economics major from Draper, Utah. She will graduate in April 2020. While at SUU she has been very active in campus activities. She works in the Leavitt School of Business and is the Student Athletic Director for SUU Student Association. She is dedicated to broadening her horizons and she has done this through an Internship at Azul Linhas Aereas Brasileiras in Sao Paulo, Brazil and alternative breaks doing service in Puerto Rico and Guatemala. Marin is an ardent Cleveland Indians fan and loves studying sports economics and finance.

Marin accepted a position as a Customer Relationship Advocate at Fidelity Investments in Salt Lake City.



Yuan Xu

Yuan is a senior Finance major at SUU. Originally from China, she has excelled as a student at SUU. She has taken many quantitative courses and is preparing for a career in the investment field which would allow her to use her quantitative skills. 









2019

Zack Ahlmer

Zack Ahlmer is from Draper, Utah and is a Junior Finance major with a minor in Spanish. He is currently a member of the finance club. Zack works as a certified life insurance producer for the company Glide FG. His work consists of walking door to door selling life insurance policies which has taught him valuable communication skills and the value of hard work. In the near future Zack plans on taking his series 7 exam with the aspirations of becoming a certified financial planner. Outside of work and school Zack enjoys golfing, skiing, and boating with friends and family.

Zack works for Glade Financial Group with plans to become a financial planner. 





Conner Andersen

Conner Andersen is from Draper, UT and is a Senior Finance major with a minor in Accounting. He is currently involved in the finance club, holding a leadership position. Conner recently finished a summer internship with Clearwater Analytics in Boise, ID working as a client services accounting analyst. During the school year he owns and operates his own window washing business. Conner plans to work in wealth management upon graduation. In his free time he enjoys spending time with his wife, boating, and sports.

Kamryn Bayer

Kamryn is from Gilbert, Arizona and will graduate in the spring of 2019 with a
degree in both Accounting and Finance. Along with school, she is apart of the
gymnastics team here at SUU as a beam and floor specialist. Kamryn also serves as
the president of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee and a board member of the
SUU Finance club. During the summer of 2018, Kamryn was a Summer Analyst for
Goldman Sachs. She was apart of the Finance division as a Legal Entity Controller
and plans to return as a full time employee there after graduation. She enjoys
reading, outdoor activities, and relaxing with family and friends during her free
time.

Cole Einerson

Cole Einerson is from Blanding, Utah and will graduate in May of 2019 with a bachelor’s degree in Finance. 
With graduation approaching, he is seeking an occupation that has exposure to client interactions, investor relations, and entrepreneurial endeavors. Cole sees value in a well-rounded financial perspective and has tried to gain experience in a variety of business functions by completing internships with sales, credit, and financial planning and analysis teams. In his free time, Cole loves to bake, take road trips, and play basketball.

Cole accepted a position at TD Ameritrade in Columbia, Maryland and recently relocated to Salt Lake City as a Financial Consultant.






Will Peacock

Will Peacock is a Junior pursuing an Economics major and a minor in Marketing from Valencia, California. Upon graduating, Will plans to work in asset and wealth management as well as pursue a lifelong goal of earning a MBA and his Doctorate. While attending SUU, Will works to support himself and his wife as a Direct Support Staff at Chrysalis Incorporated and has been working with individuals with disabilities since 2012. Will and his wife enjoy visiting National Parks and traveling whenever they can.

Jakob Reinhold

Born and raised in Draper, Utah, Jakob Reinhold is a junior currently studying Business Finance with a minor in Economics. With his diploma in hand, Jakob plans on working in venture capital and asset management, two industries that have always intrigued him at a young age. While completing his undergraduate studies, he manages a sales team specializing in the promotion and sales of Directv/AT&T Products. He has been serving on the Finance Club Committee since August 2015 and is currently the president of the Finance Club. In his free time he enjoys camping, off-roading, riding motorcycles, photography, and competitive shooting.

Landon Ross

Landon
 Ross is a junior finance major from Willard, Utah. He currently serves as VP of Tours in the Presidential Ambassador program at SUU, and works as a manager of a sales team for DIshOne Satellite. Being an ambassador and selling door to door have taught him important life lessons, such as the importance of effective goal setting, and the power of negotiation. Landon looks to putting these skills to work by becoming a financial planner after graduation. In his free time, Landon enjoys camping, fishing, and playing sports.

Landon graduated in 2020 and has accepted a job at Caliber as a Sales Manager.







2018

Shay Bauman
Shay Bauman is a Junior Economics Major with a Minor in Political Science. She is the internship coordinator at the Michael O. Leavitt Center for Politics and Public Service and recently completed an internship at the Utah State Capitol where she served two Utah Representatives, one of which sat on the Economic Development and Workforce Services Committee, allowing her to be on the inside of everything happening in the State of Utah pertaining to her areas of interest. She loves traveling, reading, and learning new things.
Shay graduated in 2018 and received a scholarship to continue her studies in Public Policy at the Evans School of Public Policy at the University of Washington.

After completing her graduate studies, Shay accepted a position as a Regulatory Analyst for the Washington State Office of the Attorney General




Tyler Brimhall

Tyler Brimhall is from American Fork, Utah is a junior at Southern Utah University who will graduate in December 2018 with a degree in Finance. Tyler is excited to make his start as a financial analyst after graduating. In his spare time he enjoys hunting, camping, reading, and spending time with friends and family. 

Tyler accepted a position as a CTE Business Teacher at Bear River High School in Garland, Utah.









Russell Christensen


Russell Christensen, from Delta, Utah, is a Junior studying Finance and Accounting with a Minor in Spanish. He is an intern for Leavitt Group Enterprises where he works closely with the Treasurer and the controller for Leavitt Group Agency Association, an entity that directly supports 70 insurance agencies spread across the country. He has had a great opportunity to see the inner workings of a successful business while learning the ins and outs of accounting, agency performance evaluation and overall business operation. He enjoys spending time with his wife, playing sports, watching Real Salt Lake games, and going for drives.

Kennedy Cowan

Kennedy Cowan is from Saint George, Utah and will graduate in May of 2018 with a degree in Finance and minor in Accounting. She works in the SUU Purchasing Office as the Purchasing Card Coordinator. Her responsibilities include managing over 680 university-issued credit cards and monitoring an average of $7,000,000 worth of annual purchases that go through the purchasing cards. Kennedy has served as a Committee Lead, the Vice President of Involvement, and is currently serving as the Unity Coordinator for the SUU Presidential Ambassadors. She is also a member of Beta Gamma Sigma. In her spare time, she enjoys reading, snowboarding, and visiting the lake as much as possible. She is passionate about learning and looks forward to working in the financial sector next year.

Caden Haslem

Caden Haslem is a junior at Southern Utah University currently studying finance with a minor in accounting. Following graduation, he plans to work in asset management in his future career. He grew up in Tallahassee, Florida, before moving with his family to Cedar City, Utah. Outside of school he enjoys watching and playing sports, and spending time in the outdoors.

Caden works at The Vanguard Group as a Retail Client Operations Associate in Scottsdale, Arizona. He recently enrolled in the University of Utah's Master's of Finance program.









Kaden Keller

Kaden Keller is a Junior Finance and Accounting Major at SUU. Kaden is on the Finance club committee and is also a member of the Professional Accountancy Club. Kaden plans on seeking a career which will give him the experience and clientele needed in order to start his own private financial consulting firm. Kaden loves to travel and meet new people. It is one of his dreams to work in a big city in order to gain experience, build a network, and experience a different style of life. Kaden has spent the last few summers selling pest control door to door on the east coast, from this Kaden has learned the value and importance of hard work and good communication skills.

Zach McNaughtan

Zach McNaughtan is from Heber City, Utah. He will graduate spring 2018 with a degree in finance and a minor in accounting. Zach wants to obtain an MBA degree and help entrepreneurs succeed. Zach plans on living outside the state of Utah with his beautiful wife Brittany for a time. He is currently serving as Vice President of Involvement for the SUU Presidential Ambassador organization. Zach can often be found diligently studying or consuming ice cream or doing both at the same time.

Nick Perkins

Born and raised in American Fork, UT. Nick Perkins is a senior at Southern Utah University double majoring in Finance & Economics. Following his graduation from SUU Nick intends to pursue a career as a financial analyst, as well as earn an MBA. Nick enjoys spending time with his wife who is also attending SUU. In his spare time, you can find him watching movies with his family. He also has a passion for reading, rugby, and world travel.

Nick graduated in 2018 and took a position as an Associate Sourcing Analyst at Overstock.com in Salt Lake City, Utah. He currently works as a Business Intelligence Analyst at TruHealing. 






Sarah Safe

Sarah SAFE is an MBA student from Paris, France, with an emphasis on Finance. During her studies Sarah did several internships including at Deloitte where she worked with the M&A Operations team, accompanying medium size companies and multinational through their merges, acquisitions and carve out on the operational aspects. Sarah also did an internship in China as a junior Consultant in strategy, helping foreign food and beverage companies to break into the Chinese market. In her spare time, Sarah loves running, travelling and learn foreign languages, she speaks 4 languages.

Sarah graduated in 2018 and accepted a position as a Financial Analyst at Sanofi in New York City. 





Alyson Thimsen
Alyson Thimsen is from Denver, Colorado and will graduate in the Spring of 2018 with a degree in both Accounting and Finance. While in school, she participated on Southern Utah’s Division I soccer team where she will end her career as the all team leading goal scorer in SUU history. Alyson is also a Vice President for the Finance Club. For the past three summers, she has worked as an accounting clerk for O’meara Ford dealership where she worked with Accounts payable, performed bank reconciliations, and re-organized the entire company vehicle inventory. She enjoys traveling, watching sports, reading, and spending time with friends and family.
Alyson graduated in 2018 and accepted a position as an Associate Internal Sales Director with Great West, in their retirement division, Empower in Denver, Colorado.

2017

Levi Brown

Levi Brown, native of Orem, Utah, is currently a full-time student at Southern Utah University dual majoring in Accounting and Finance. He is currently involved in the Professional Accountancy Club on SUU campus networking with regional and national accounting firms. In addition to his academic activities he works part-time for MSC Aerospace as their accounts payable clerk and volunteers his time fulfilling his local church congregation calling. Levi enjoys running, swimming, biking, hiking, skiing, 4-wheeling, and going for drives with family and friends. Levi loves the pursuit of success in whatever he involves himself in and being around others who he can build up.

Levi finished his MAcc degree and works as an Audit Assistant at Deloitte in their San Francisco office.




Colton Clark

Colton Clark is from Spring City, a small town in central Utah, and moved to Cedar City to attend SUU. Colton is studying Economics with a minor in Finance and has enjoyed his learning in the classroom, as well as through the off-campus experiences in various professional capacities including sales, banking, and accounting. Colton is interested in investments and data analytics. Outside of work and school, Colton loves to golf, host backyard cookouts, and enjoy time with family and friends.

Colton accepted a position as an Operations Analyst at Stations Casino in Las Vegas. He currently works as a Portfolio Analyst at Select Portfolio Servicing in Salt Lake City.

 



Kelby Lihme

Kelby Lihme is a student at Southern Utah University with a proven reputation of commitment, and ability to effectively complete tasks at hand. Acquiring strong communication skills to efficiently cultivate exceptional, positive relationships among cross-functional organizations, and other individuals. Shown to be readily trained, self-managed, and disciplined in numerous activities through past military, and assistant/aid involvement.

Kelby is currently a Sergeant in the Army National Guard. 

        




Chase Robinson

Chase Robinson is pursuing degrees in Finance and Accounting. After finishing his bachelor's degrees, he will begin the Masters of Accountancy program at SUU. After graduating he will be seeking to gain experience in the asset management and public accounting sectors of the finance industry in hopes of starting his own financial firm in the future. He currently works as a bookkeeper at a local property management company where he manages their monthly accounting cycle and their internet-based software program, Appfolio. In his off-time, he enjoys spending time with his wife and son being at the lake, hunting, and playing sports.

Chase accepted a position as a Loan Risk Grade Analyst at Zions Bancorporation. He currently works as a Financial Planning & Analysis Analyst  for American Logistics in St. George, Utah









Matthew Scott

Matthew Scott is a full time student at Southern Utah University studying Finance and Economics with plans to graduate in the spring of 2017. He is currently working as a compliance intern at State Bank of Southern Utah where he runs weekly monitoring reports and focuses on process improvement. Matthew is bilingual and also the proud holder of the Stansbury Park Elementary pushup contest award.


Matthew accepted a position as an Associate with Scalar in Salt Lake City.
