About Me

I love storytelling in almost all of its varieties: film, television, literature, video games, drama, and musicals. As such, I spend a lot of time reading, watching screens, and playing games. I use what I learn through experience to inform the courses I teach on this such as film adaptation, genre television, US film history, Gothic literature, and other forms of narrative, as well as support my eclectic scholarship on monster studies, television, and popular culture. I also love riding my bike, knitting, hiking, and spending time with my amazing wife and awesome kids. I may be a bit too obsessed with Star Wars Legos.
